A cloudy Monday with rain forecast in Gran Canaria

The weather forecast for today, Monday, indicates that in the north and east of Gran Canaria it will be cloudy with the probability of occasional and scattered light showers, mainly inland and not on the coasts. In the south, it will be slightly cloudy this morning getting more overcast during the afternoon.

Temperatures will not change much and moderate winds are expected from the northeast, with strong intervals this afternoon on the southeast and northwest slopes, and there will be a predominance of breezes on the southwest coasts.

In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura it will be cloudy with a low probability of weak, scattered and occasional showers. No change in the temperatures of the last few days, and the wind will blow from the northeast, more intense in the middle of the day.

In the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the weather forecast from AEMET shows that in the north of the islands it will be cloudy with the probability of occasional light and scattered rains at the end of the day, affecting the peaks and northern slopes.

In the rest of the areas, there will be scattered clouds, increasing during the afternoon, when occasional light and scattered rain is not ruled out in the west, mainly inland and not in coastal areas.

Again, no major change in temperatures with a high of 23ºC expected in Tenerife, and a low of 12ºC in El Hierro, with moderate winds from a northeasterly direction, with strong intervals starting this afternoon on the east slope and northwest tips of the islands. On the north and west coasts, there will just be breezes from the same direction. It is expected to be clearer in the south with sunny spells.
