Another cloudy day today, except in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura

Continuing cloudy skies and weak and occasional rains are forecast in various parts of the Canary Islands today (Monday), except in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where a clear and sunny day is expected, according to the State Meteorological Centre (AEMET). Sea conditions will still be rough with big waves and strong swell, so caution is advised when swimming.

Forecast for all the islands for today:

TENERIFE:
A cloudy start to the day in the north, clearing during the central hours with occasional light showers, especially in the mid-northeast in the early and later hours of the day. In the rest of the island, light cloud or clear skies in general. Northeast wind up to 34kmh, more intense in low areas of the southeast slope, and especially in the extreme northwest, tending to decrease afternoon.
Temperatures in Tenerife south: max 26°C minimum 20°C.

GRAN CANARIA:
Cloudy in the north of the island which will clear later in the day with probable occasional light rains in the early and late hours of the day. Clear and sunny in the south, with a strong northeast wind with very strong gusts in low areas of the southeast and northwest slopes during the early morning, decreasing in the afternoon.
Temperatures in Mogan: max 27°C minimum 22°C.

LANZAROTE:
Only light cloud or clear across the south and east of the island, with intervals of low clouds in the north and west. Temperatures with little change from the weekend. Moderate northeast wind, more intense in the interior south.
Temperatures in Puerto Del Carmen: max 26°C minimum 21°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Very similar to Lanzarote with light clouds or clear skies, with cloudy intervals in the north and west of the island in the early and late hours of the day. Temperatures with little change from the weekend. Northeast wind, more intense on the southern slope of Jandía.
Temperatures in Corralejo: max 26°C minimum 21°C.

LA GOMERA:
Predominance of cloudy skies in the north with probable occasional light rains in the early and late hours of the day. In the rest of the island, little clouds or clear in general. Temperatures in slight decrease in general, especially on southern and western slopes and in inland areas. Strong northeast wind with very strong gusts on the east and northwest slopes during the early morning, tending to decrease this afternoon.
Temperatures in San Sebastian: max 23°C minimum 19°C.

LA PALMA:
Cloudy in the north and east, clearing during the central hours of the day with rain at altitude, especially in the mid-northeast in the early and late hours of the day. In the rest, skies slightly cloudy or clear in general. Temperatures in slight decrease in high areas and on the west slope, especially in the midlands, and with little change in the rest. Northeast wind with very strong gusts on southeast and northwest slopes during the early morning.
Temperatures in Santa Cruz de La Palma: max 24°C minimum 21°C.

EL HIERRO:
Cloudy in the north clearing during the central hours with occasional light rains, especially in the mid-northeast in the early and late hours of the day. In the rest, skies are slightly cloudy or clear in general. Northeast wind, being occasionally strong with very strong gusts in the extreme northwest during the early morning and tending to decrease this evening.
Temperatures in Valverde: max 21°C minimum 16°C.
