Man puts secret video camera in friend's bathroom to see her showering

The Guardia Civil have arrested a 41-year-old man in El Paso in La Palma, accused of installing a camera in the bathroom of a female friend so that he could watch her showering.

The man, who is a resident of the municipality, allegedly placed a video camera on the ceiling of the bathroom of the woman’s house to be able to view images of her when she was in the shower, which was activated by a motion sensor.

The woman became suspicious because the man, who was a friend, started to visit her every day and always asked to go to the bathroom. When searching the house, thinking that something wasn’t right, she saw the small camera attached with double-sided tape.

When she contacted the police about the situation, the Guardia Civil opened an investigation to obtain conclusive evidence of the alleged responsibility of the events.

The man was caught red handed in the woman’s bathroom trying to change the SD card in the camera, and voluntarily confessed all to agents about what he had done. Proceedings have now been sent to the Court of Instruction Number 2 of Los Llanos de Aridane in La Palma.
