TITSA has introduced its winter bus schedules across Tenerife following the end of the main summer season, bringing timetable changes to numerous routes as schools, universities and workplaces return to their normal routines.

The changes came into effect on Monday, 7th September, and affect services across the metropolitan area, north and south of the island.

One of the most significant additions is the new route 464 between Icod de los Vinos and Costa Adeje, providing passengers with a more direct connection between the two bus stations.

The new service complements the existing route 460 but travels along the TF-1 motorway from Santiago del Teide to Costa Adeje, providing another option for passengers travelling between the north-west and south of Tenerife.

At the same time, TITSA has withdrawn seasonal services introduced for the summer.

Route 546 between Realejo Alto and Playa del Socorro has finished its summer operation, while route 948 serving Azanos, Playa de Almáciga and Benijo has ended the additional weekend service provided during the summer season.

Timetable changes across Tenerife

Several major urban and metropolitan routes have returned to winter schedules.

Route 910 between the Santa Cruz interchange, San Andrés and Las Teresitas has reverted to its winter timetable, while routes 934 and 936 serving Santa Cruz, Añaza and Santa María del Mar have also been adjusted.

Routes 138 and 139, serving Santa Cruz, Radazul and Tabaiba, have returned to their winter operation and will no longer extend to Playa de la Nea.

Route 122 between Santa Cruz and Candelaria via Plaza de Teror has also returned to its winter programme, ending additional services that operated at weekends during the summer.

Changes are also in place around La Laguna and northern Tenerife.

Route 224, connecting La Laguna, Valle Guerra, Tejina and Punta del Hidalgo, has returned to its winter programme, while routes 050, 054, 051 and 057 have timetable adjustments.

Routes 021 to Mesa del Mar and 023 to El Pris have also returned to their usual winter schedules.

In the north, route 369 between Buenavista bus station and Punta de Teno has changed to its winter programme, as have routes 376 and 380 in the La Orotava area.

University buses are back

The beginning of the new academic year also means the return of TITSA's dedicated university shuttle routes.

Services 605, 606, 608 and 611 resumed operation from Monday, providing connections for students travelling to university facilities.

The annual September timetable change reflects the shift in passenger demand following the summer holidays.

During July and August, additional resources are directed towards beaches and popular coastal destinations. As schools and universities return, buses and timetables are adjusted towards commuting and education-related journeys.

The number of affected routes means passengers should not assume that the bus they regularly used during the summer will continue departing at exactly the same time.

TITSA is advising passengers to check the current timetable for their individual route before travelling.
