Hotel in Tenerife denounced for selling tickets to a non-sanctioned pool party
Local police from the municipality of Arona in the south of Tenerife, were called to an unnamed hotel in the tourist area of Playa de Las Américas on Saturday afternoon, who were holding a pool party at a bar inside the hotel grounds, for which they had no permission for, and had been selling tickets to people not staying at the complex.
On arrival at the hotel, officers verified that there were more than 40 people at a party with music, no social distancing, no masks, and no permission for what is classed as a non-regular mass event under current restrictions.
Activities are allowed to take place in hotels with guests who are staying at the hotel, but on this occasion they had been selling tickets to others not staying there, and had exceeded group activity rules.
Faced with the situation, the Local Police officers broke up the party and evicted anyone who was not staying at the hotel, closed the bar, and processed an administrative sanction against the hotel for breach of health regulations, and exceeding the capacity allowed at this time.
