VIDEO: Violent drunk passenger causes havoc after being refused to board a plane

An unsettling incident took place at Palma airport (Mallorca) on Thursday morning, after he attacked Ryanair personnel who wouldn’t let him board a flight to Gran Canaria because of his very obvious state of drunkenness. The incident took place at 5:43am and the man was eventually arrested by the Guardia Civil.

Upon arriving at boarding gate C-62, the Guardia Civil officers encountered a 26-year-old man with a very violent attitude who had taken off his shirt. He had already destroyed furniture at the boarding gate and thrown a computer and other objects against the wall. However, without a doubt, the most serious thing was when he punched one of the airline workers, who was slightly injured.

Reportedly, according to Última Hora newspaper, the unruly passenger then ventured into one of the airport's toilets and emerged brandishing a large shard of glass from a broken mirror. Brandishing this makeshift weapon, he threatened to take his own life before cutting himself on his chest and abdomen.

Airport security personnel managed to retrain him until the Guardia Civil arrived and arrested him. Subsequently, he was taken for medical assessment and later to the police station as a detainee.
