Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced they will begin operating direct flights to La Palma for the first time, starting in summer 2026. La Palma becomes Jet2’s fifth destination in the Canary Islands, joining Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria, which are already popular choices among British holidaymakers.
From 3rd April 2026, Jet2 will offer two weekly flights from Manchester Airport, operating year-round on Mondays and Fridays. Later in the year, on 26th October 2026, a second route from London Stansted will launch, also with two weekly flights on the same days.
The move is part of Jet2’s growing commitment to the Canary Islands, where demand for holidays remains high all year round. The tour operator has confirmed that packages to Los Cancajos, Puerto Naos, and Tazacorte will be available, offering visitors a chance to explore the island’s volcanic landscapes, starry skies, and peaceful beaches.
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: “We’re excited to add La Palma to our Canary Islands programme. With more travellers looking for authentic and adventurous destinations, we believe this new route will be very popular among our customers.”
Local tourism officials on La Palma have also welcomed the news. Raquel Rebollo, La Palma’s Councillor for Tourism, described the UK market as a key priority. “This is a major step forward in opening our island to more international visitors. The collaboration with Jet2 highlights the great tourism potential of La Palma,” she said.
Known as “La Isla Bonita” (The Beautiful Island), La Palma offers lush forests, rugged coastlines, volcanic trails, and some of the clearest skies in the world, perfect for nature lovers, hikers, and stargazers alike.
