Hollywood actors Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler’s List, Iron Man 3) and Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, London Has Fallen) take the lead roles in the action film 'Deep Water,' currently in production from this week until December 22nd, which is being filmed in the two studios at Infecar, built and managed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
Gran Canaria-based producer Adrián Guerra, contributing to the project through his company Nostromo Pictures, highlighted yesterday (Tuesday) that the film is being directed by Renny Harlin, "a top filmmaker in the action cinema genre since the 90s, known for movies like Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger."
'Deep Water' has seen significant portions of its filming in New Zealand before arriving in Gran Canaria.
This filming coincides with 'The Penguin Lesson,' directed by Peter Cattaneo and starring British actor John Coogan. For weeks, this international project, also under the guidance of Adrián Guerra, has been set up in various locations on the island.
The producer confirmed that 12 penguins have been brought to the island to shoot various scenes.
