The National Police have arrested four people and closed two cannabis clubs in Adeje following an operation against suspected drug trafficking in the south of Tenerife.
The two associations have been sealed off by court order for six months. The investigation remains open, and further arrests have not been ruled out.
Officers seized almost 14 kilos of marijuana and more than seven kilos of hashish, along with other cannabis products. These included concentrates, prepared joints and edible products containing THC, the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
More than €50,000 in cash and over £2,000 were also confiscated during the operation.
The locations of the two clubs and the date of the operation have not been made public. The four arrests relate to this investigation; they do not mean that every cannabis association is involved in illegal activity.
