Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car in Tenerife

A 66-year-old man has died after being runover by a car on a road in Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife yesterday evening, Wednesday 28th October,

The emergency services received a call at 7.05pm reporting that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle on the TF-320 and needed urgent assistance.

CECOES dispatched the necessary emergency resources to the location given, including an advanced life support ambulance, but when paramedics got there, they could only confirm that the man had died.

The Guardia Civil and Local Police officers also attended, managing traffic in the area while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

Officers have prepared a report into what happened and his body has been taken for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.

No further details about the circumstances of the collision or his identity have been released.
