Rent support scheme announced for residents in Fuerteventura

The Puerto del Rosario council has announced a €190,000 scheme to help eligible residents pay their rent.

The funding is intended for people and families in the municipality who need support with the cost of their main home. Applicants must meet the conditions set out in the council’s rules.

The scheme will be awarded through a competitive process, meaning applications will be assessed against the published criteria rather than everyone automatically receiving a payment.

The council says applicants will have 15 working days to submit their paperwork following publication of the call for applications in the Las Palmas provincial official bulletin.
