According to the latest forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the Canary Islands can expect mostly clear skies with slightly cooler temperatures today (Monday). Winds will be moderate from the northeast, occasionally picking up strength in the southeast and northwest areas of the islands.
Skies will generally remain clear, though some cloud cover is expected during early morning and late evening hours in the northern parts of the islands, as well as in the east and west of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Elsewhere, the weather will be mostly clear or sunny throughout the day.
Northeast winds will blow at moderate strength, intensifying in southeastern and northwestern areas. On the coasts, winds from the north or northeast will reach force 4 or 5, increasing to force 6 offshore in the west and southeast. This will result in rough seas, particularly offshore in the west and southeast, with waves increasing to 1–2 metres from the north.
