More than a million people in the Canary Islands are now fully immunized
The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands has informed that the SCS vaccination teams have now administered 2,251,591 doses of the vaccines with the immunization of 1,011,586 people who have been fully vaccinated which represents 51.59% of the target population over 12 years of age in the Canary Islands.
There are now 1,346,902 people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the Archipelago, which is 68.69% of the target population, which has been increased by including the population over 12 years of age in the National Vaccination Strategy, increasing it to 1,960,774 people. Taking the population over 16 years of age as a reference, 71.99% have had one dose.

In the latest revision of the National Vaccination Strategy, the following vaccination and prioritization groups are established:
Stage I:
Group 1: COMPLETE
Group 2: COMPLETE
Group 3: 100% one dose and 82.17% two doses. Non front-line health and social health personnel:
Group 4: 100% one dose and 78.21% two doses. Large household dependents.
Stage II:
Group 5: 100% one dose and 94.94% two doses. People aged over 60.
Group 5A: People aged 80 and over
Group 5B: People from 70 to 79 years old
Group 5C: People from 66 to 69 years old
