Three relatives arrested for two robberies in Tenerife on the same night

The National Police have detained three men aged between 26 and 37 years old, who are relatives of each other, for two robberies carried out in the municipality of Los Realejos in the north of Tenerife, among other charges.

The investigation by the National Police started when the occupants of a vehicle, which later turned out to have been stolen, committed two robberies in a short space of time in the same town late at night.

In the first one, they went to a restaurant and used the vehicle to tear off the protective metal grill on the access door, but they didn’t enter the building as they were interrupted by someone who saw what they were doing. Driving off quickly, they then they went to a shop in the town where, after breaking the door to get in, they took just 200 euros that was in the till.

The investigation by the National Police made it possible to link these events to the abandonment of a stolen vehicle, whose registration number matched what was given by the person that saw them ripping off the security grill, which was also set on fire, and left on a forest track in La Orotava.

Likewise, proceedings made it possible to identify the three men, all relatives of each other, who they arrested in the towns of La Orotava, Los Realejos and Puerto de la Cruz, respectively.
