More than 300 fines for breach of restrictions in Tenerife last week
The National Police, issued made 330 sanction proposals for fines last week for various breaches of Covid regulations during the Carnival period, in the province of Tenerife.
Almost all of the fines were for one of three things:
- Not wearing a mask (or wearing it properly)
- Being out after the 10pm curfew.
- Meeting in group sizes larger than 6 people.
107 fines were issued in Tenerife for misuse of masks, 193 for being out late without a justifiable reason, and 30 for group size, 28 of which were in the municipality of Adeje.
By municipalities last week, the National Police issued 28 sanction proposals in the capital of Tenerife, 56 in La Laguna, 213 between the municipalities of Adeje and Arona, 24 between the towns of Puerto de la Cruz and Los Realejos, and 9 in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

The actions have been carried out by National Police officers of the Provincial Police Station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, who are working within the framework of the Canaries Covid Prevention Plan, with the collaboration of the different Local Police departments in municipalities across the province.
