The Ministry of Health has notified of 46 new coronavirus outbreaks this week with 269 people infected from them. 20 of the outbreaks are in Gran Canaria, 14 in Tenerife, 8 in Fuerteventura, 3 in Lanzarote, and 1 in La Gomera. By source, 16 are from social gatherings, 12 among families, 9 at workplaces, 5 in nursing homes, 3 in schools, and 1 in a health centre.
Most of this week’s outbreaks have affected between 3 and 8 people, except for four that have more than 10 people infected, and one family outbreak that has infected 22 people.
The social outbreaks have between 3 and 6 associated cases, except one with 11 infected people, and another with 7 affected, related to a Halloween party.
