Spectacular clouds form over Teide

Mt Teide is one of the most spectacular sights in the world. The highest point in Spain never fails to disappoint whether bathing in glorious sunshine, covered in snow, or in this case capped with lenticular clouds following the rains from Hermine.

Lenticular clouds, which appear before or after episodes of intense rain, are defined in the glossary of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) as those that “present elongated elements in the form of a lens or almond, generally smooth and with sharp contours.”

As you can see they are an amazing sight, some say Teide is wearing a cap... others say we are not alone!
