Man tries to jump out of a window to evade police in the south of Tenerife

The National Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in the south of Tenerife after discovering a marijuana plantation at his home in Tejina. The man attempted to escape the police by jumping out of a window when they confronted him, but they stopped him.

The man in question has a string of previous charges against him including drug dealing, reckless driving, vehicle theft, and burglary, and has two active arrest warrants against him issued by different courts in Tenerife.

Police investigators received information informing them that the man had an indoor marijuana plantation where he allegedly stored and dried the substance, preparing it to sell.

Once the initial information was confirmed and enough evidence was obtained, they presented it to the judicial authorities and were granted a search warrant for the man’s property in Tejina.

When they got there the man tried to flee by jumping out of a window to another adjacent one, but his efforts were in vain as he was apprehended by the National Police without managing to do so.

During the search, officers seized 13 kilograms of marijuana and a substantial number of plants at various stages of growth, originating from the indoor plantation inside the property.

After providing a statement at the police station, the detainee was handed over to the competent judicial authority for sentencing.
