This afternoon, Thursday, a serious traffic accident occurred on the GC-23 near the Julio Luengo tunnel access in Las Palmas. The collision involved two private vehicles and a truck, causing significant traffic congestion in the area.
The Local Police were the first to arrive at the scene and started to manage the situation and direct traffic, while personnel from the Cabildo Department of Road Maintenance marked the affected area to ensure the safety of drivers navigating nearby.
Paramedics have been treating those injured in the accident, however, the exact number of casualties and the severity of their injuries have not yet been confirmed.
Drivers are advised to avoid the GC-23 and take alternative routes until the emergency services have cleared the area and traffic flow has been restored.
