Emergency landing in Fuerteventura for medical treatment of a 4-year-old child

Yesterday afternoon (Monday), the crew of Ryanair flight FR7128 from Dublin to Fuerteventura had to request urgent medical assistance on the ground as a four-year-old child onboard had suffered a medical problem, as reported by Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) on their official account on the social network X.

Thanks to the swift action of the ATC at the Enaire control centre in Fuerteventura, the approach was cleared to the airport so that the plane could land as swiftly and safely as possible.

Once stationary on the ground, SUC medical personnel boarded the plane and managed to stabilise the young child before transferring them to Fuerteventura General Hospital for further treatment.

Passengers have praised the actions of the crew and paramedics on social media for taking the stress out of a potentially tragic incident in such a professional manner.
