AEMET extends the yellow weather warning for strong winds

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) have extended the yellow weather warning for strong winds in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife today (Wednesday), a day for which they are forecasting cloudy skies, minimal changes in temperatures, and haze that could significantly reduce visibility in the western islands.

Winds will be moderate to strong from the southeast in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with very strong gusts on the western slopes, while on the rest it will be light on the coasts and moderate to strong in the southern half of the islands and high areas, with very strong gusts at summits and northern slopes of Gran Canaria and Tenerife. In general, the wind will die down this afternoon.
