Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder following a violent attack at El Reducto beach in Lanzarote on Saturday night.
Officers say the victim was inside a fast-food restaurant when a group of staff members attacked him for reasons that remain unclear.
The group reportedly pushed, shook, and punched the man before knocking him to the ground. A knife was involved in the assault, but police confirmed that the blade was not used to stab the victim.
Local and National Police responded quickly to the scene. One suspect was arrested after officers found him hiding in the toilets of a nearby pizzeria. Investigators have gathered witness statements and mobile phone footage recorded by bystanders to help with the investigation.
