Winter Pride brings a week of global celebration to Maspalomas

Winter Pride is under way in Maspalomas, bringing a week of performances, parties and activities to one of Gran Canaria’s best-known holiday resorts.

The festival runs from 2nd to 8th November. Its programme includes live entertainment at the Yumbo Main Stage, pool parties, sports events, excursions and boat trips. Organisers say Winter Pride attracts visitors from around the world, with more than 40,000 people expected to take part in the week’s celebrations.

Tuesday’s programme includes a free live show at the Yumbo Main Stage from 8:00pm. Some other activities, including pool parties, rooftop events and excursions, require tickets.

The week’s main public event is the Pride Walk on Saturday, 7th November. A pre-party is scheduled to begin at 3:00pm outside the Abora Catarina hotel, with the walk setting off at 4pm towards the Yumbo Centre. Taking part in the walk is free, while tickets are available for people who want to join one of the official floats. An after-party is due to start at 6:00pm.

The event is now in its 12th edition and has become a regular fixture in Maspalomas’ winter calendar. Its programme combines nightlife with daytime activities, giving visitors options beyond the main stage and resort’s bars.
