Lava Live Lanzarote is officially on fire! The festival exploded into life last night (Friday) with a high-voltage opening that had Arrecife dancing from dusk till dawn. Taking over the Agramar fairgrounds, the first night brought star power, bold beats, and a celebration of urban culture that had the crowd buzzing.
Headliner Residente, the Grammy-winning force behind Calle 13, delivered a fierce and politically charged set that shook the stage. Right behind him, Cuban hip-hop pioneers Orishas brought their signature flow, lighting up the night with infectious energy. Rising star Ptazeta turned heads with her raw power and charisma, while DJ Carlos Chavaud and selector Renzzo kept the party pulsing with flawless sets.
But it wasn’t just about the music. Festivalgoers soaked up the full experience, think gourmet food trucks, relaxed chill-out areas, and a production that nailed the brief on sustainability, accessibility, and inclusive vibes.
The atmosphere? Electric. Thousands packed the venue, showing up early and staying late, revelling in a night of Latin flavour, hip-hop heat, and sonic fusion. It was clear: Lava Live isn’t just another festival, it’s a movement.
And it’s only getting started. Tonight’s lineup, Saturday, is stacked, with Mexican rock giants Maná set to take the stage, backed by Los Zigarros, Drûpe, and DJ Ángel Pérez.
Lava Live Lanzarote has officially raised the bar. If last night was anything to go by, this weekend is going to be one for the books.
