A hot and sunny start to the week is forecast in the Canary Islands

According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), this week will start in the Canary Islands just as it ended with clear skies, a light haze, higher temperatures in inland areas, and moderate to strong winds from a northeasterly direction.

Sea conditions will remain very much the same with force 5 or 6 winds causing a strong swell in the north and northwest of the islands, with waves of 1 to 2 metres reaching 3 metres in places, so caution is still advised when going in the sea, as is checking the colour of the flag on the beach. Sunset this evening will be at 6.51pm.
