A 51-year-old man experienced a cardiac arrest while driving on Avenida Adeje in Playa Paraiso, in the south of Tenerife, on Friday night according to the 112 emergency services.
Paramedics responded promptly and managed to revive him before taking him in critical condition to the Hospiten Sur hospital by ambulance for urgent treatment.
The incident was reported by the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), and says that SUC medical personnel assessed the driver and confirmed he had suffered a cardiac arrest. They immediately performed both basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, successfully restoring his pulse.
Once stabilized, the patient was transferred by a medicalised ambulance to the hospital for further treatment. His condition remains critical as medical professionals continue to monitor and provide necessary care.
