The RIU Hotels and Resorts chain have announced the reopening of the Riu Gran Canaria after a complete renovation, which is why it now exhibits a new design and has new facilities, including more bars and restaurants. However, the company highlights one of the novelties in particular: the Riu Party, which will begin at the end of the year.

The 4-star hotel has 639 rooms which have all been completely renovated, maintaining the elegance of the wood in their furniture, combining the decoration with chromatic ranges of green and beige. In addition, the façade has been modified to be able to enlarge the rooms, giving them more space.

The main focus of the reform has been on the common areas of the hotel. Regarding the interior design style, it has been decided to play with materials in neutral tones, where vegetation plays an important role. A remodelling has been carried out in the lobby, where in addition to gaining space in the reception area, huge skylights have been opened on the ceiling, to gain light, and generate a sensation of being inside a botanical garden.

The gastronomic offer has also been renewed, adding two new restaurants: the gourmet kitchen by Kulinarium and the Italian Amore Mio. For its part, the main restaurant Las Dunas presents a profound change of look, with new terraces in the garden. The Atlántico pool restaurant and the Asian restaurant Kaori are still there, and the grill restaurant, Pepe's Food, has been relocated.
