The dead body of a man is found in sea by Costa del Silencio in Tenerife
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) of the Canary Islands received an alert yesterday afternoon (Friday) at 4:00pm, reporting that there was a lifeless body underwater off the coast by Playa Amarilla in Costa del Silencio, on the municipal border of Arona and San Miguel de Abona.
They immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources to the area including the Guardia Civil, Firefighters, and SUC Ambulances.
As it was close to the coast firemen were able to retrieve the body, which has been identified as a 36-year-old man, and take it to shore where paramedics confirmed his death.
An investigation and autopsy are underway to find the cause and circumstances leading to his untimely death.
They also had to treat a woman for severe anxiety and took her to a local health centre for further treatment and observation.
