Siam Park announce closure of attractions for maintenance work

One of the main attractions for thousands of visitors to Tenerife is Siam Park in Costa Adeje, voted the number one water park in the world eight years in a row, that since it opened in 2008 has become a landmark in the south of the island.

It opened to the public on 17th September 2008 after taking four years to build and costing 52 million euros, and as well as some of the best water slides and rides in the world, it is home to the largest collection of Thai-themed buildings outside Thailand.

The park's designer, Christoph Kiessling, received permission from the Thai royal family to use the park's name and theme, but to respect the family's wishes, he did not copy royal palaces, temples, or statues of Buddha in the construction.

Since its inauguration, investment has continued in the park with new areas, rides, and beaches opened to maintain its status and attraction to the public, and maintenance of existing rides is undertaken with the minimum effect possible to the visitor’s experience.

In this sense they have announced that certain attractions will be closed on the following dates for maintenance work:

DRAGON & VULCANO: from 21st January to 4th February.

PATON & MEKONG RAPIDS: from 5th to 19th February.

CHILDREN'S VILLA: from 6th to 26th March.

All other rides and attractions in the park remain open as usual during this period.
