Forecasts from the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) warn that Monday, 5th January 2026, the eve of the Three Kings festivities, is likely to be marked by unstable weather across the Canary Islands, with rain expected that may disrupt or even force changes to traditional Three Kings parades planned in towns and cities across the archipelago.

Light to moderate rain is expected in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and across the northern areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, where showers could be persistent in mid-altitude areas. Although rainfall in the southern areas of these islands cannot be ruled out, it is likely to be weaker and more sporadic.

Temperatures are expected to fall slightly, with a more noticeable drop in daytime highs in mid-altitude and highland areas. Winds will blow moderately from the northwest, gradually shifting to northerly over the course of the day.

Rain probabilities for Monday are high across all islands:

·       100% in Santa Cruz (Tenerife), Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), Puerto del Rosario & Pájara (Fuerteventura), and Santa Cruz de La Palma.

·       95% in La Orotava (Tenerife) and Hermigua (La Gomera).

·       90% in Arona (Tenerife) and Arrecife (Lanzarote).

·       70% in Valverde (El Hierro).

These figures reflect representative meteorological points on each island and serve as an indication of conditions expected across the archipelago during the busy festive evening.
