In Gáldar, the spotlight is on Gáldar Pride 2025, a three-day celebration of diversity and inclusion. It kicks off at 8:00pm tonight at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta with a glitter party and makeup workshop. That’s followed at 9:00pm by the Queen of Queens Gala, with performances from Samantha Hudson and several drag stars, then at 11.30pm, singers Daira Monzón, Amistades Peligrosas and Les Castizos take the stage.

Agaete will host another packed programme, including performances by Irene “La Cubana” and Pepe Benavente on Saturday and a local crafts fair on Sunday.

Other towns joining the festivities include Santa Brígida, hosting a family water party and music festival; San Mateo, with gaming tournaments and theatrical performances; and Santa Lucía de Tirajana, where live concerts and a traditional romería will take centre stage. This is a colourful Canarian parade where locals dress in traditional clothing, decorate carts, and honour their patron saint with music, dancing and food.
In Telde, music and foam cannons will take over neighbourhoods like San Antonio and Los Arenales, while Teror and Valsequillo will offer everything from fireworks and mariachi bands to classic car shows.
With events happening in nearly every municipality, the message is clear: this weekend in Gran Canaria, boredom isn’t an option!
