Electric scooter rider injured in collision with car in Maspalomas
A 20-year-old man was injured on Friday afternoon after a collision between an e-scooter and a car on Avenida Touroperador Tui, in Maspalomas in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The incident occurred at around 3:00pm, prompting immediate action from the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES), who reported that the scooter rider required medical assistance following the impact.
A medicalised ambulance and a basic life support unit from the Canarian Emergency Service were dispatched to the location given, where SUC medical personnel assessed the injured rider, who was found to have multiple contusions of a “moderate nature”, and transported him to Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria for further treatment.
Local Police attended the scene and carried out the corresponding accident report.
