A calima with highs of 36 degrees in the Canary Islands this weekend

The unpredictable weather continues this weekend with a hazy and hot forecast with temperatures of 36 degrees in the western islands, according to AEMET. They are also warning of bad sea conditions as with a calima comes strong winds causing waves, which along with the currents lead to swells which are predicted to be between 2 to 3 metres on northwest and southeast coasts, and slightly less in the west.

TENERIFE:
Little cloud or clear, alternating with intervals of medium and high clouds, which could evolve more at peaks in the central hours of the day. There will be a light haze, increasing in the afternoon in the south. There will be a northeast wind from light to moderate in strength which will be more intense at the northwest point and on the southeast slope of the island. Mostly breezes on the west coasts.
Temperatures: Maximum 34°C, minimum 24°C.

GRAN CANARIA:
Little cloud or clear for most of the day, clouding over in the late afternoon, with a light haze that also increases in the afternoon. Northeast wind from light to moderate, which will be more intense on the southeast and northwest slopes. On peaks, a weak southwest wind, and only breezes on the southwestern coasts.
Temperatures: Maximum 36°C, minimum 25°C.

LANZAROTE:
Mostly clear all weekend with intervals of medium and high clouds. Slight haze, increasing in the afternoon. A northeast wind from light to moderate in strength, with some intense gusts inland.
Temperatures: Maximum 34°C, minimum 23°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Very similar to Lanzarote with light cloud or clear all day, with a light haze increasing during the afternoon. A northeast wind from light to moderate in strength, with some intense gusts inland.
Temperatures: Maximum 34°C, minimum 23°C.
