The Canaries does it again: more big winners in the El Niño lottery

After Christmas winners in the Canary Islands in the El Gordo lottery, a Eurmillions winner on Tuesday, The Canaries have now scooped shares of the top three prizes in the Reyes El Niño draw. Winners have been announced in Gáldar in Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz in Tenerife, as well as Las Galletas in the south, and from tickets bought in Siam Mall shopping centre in Playa Las Americas.

In total over a million euros has been won in the islands, of which 550,000 euros is in the province of Tenerife, about half of what fell in El Gordo on December 22nd.

The winning ticket number series was 19570 with a tenth (one ticket) value of 200,000 euros, which was won by the owner of the administration number 8, which sells the tickets in the Tenerife capital, María del Carmen Gil, whose family have owned the outlet for three generations, and it is the first time they have had a big win at the tienda.

María del Carmen said that she did not expect to open her shop for a winner, but that “a seller's daughter called me and told me that we had hit the jackpot. I started jumping at home with such great joy.”

A share of the first prizecalso fell in Gran Canaria, specifically, a tenth was sold in the administration located at kilometer 4.45 of the Sardina highway, in the municipality of Gáldar.

In addition, tickets for the second prize, number 03436 worth a share of 750,000 euros, were sold on the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. In Tenerife, the number was purchased at the Cepsa gas station on the Carretera General in Las Galletas and at Siam Mall in Adeje.

Meanwhile, in Gran Canaria, this fell in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and in the municipality of Arucas. 6% LESS SALES IN TENERIFE:
The El Niño Lottery Draw saw a a total of 29,656,380 euros worth of tickets sold in the Canary Islands, which represents a reduction of 5.97% compared to the previous year and an spend of 13.63 euros per person.

By provinces, in Las Palmas tickets have been sold for a value of 17.17 million euros, 5.17% less; and in Santa Cruz de Tenerife there was a turnover of 16.47 million, which is 6.6% less than a year earlier. Meanwhile, in the whole of Spain, 725,040,440 euros were billed, which represents a reduction of 1.03% compared to the previous year, a little more than the prizes at stake, 700 million euros.
