Warmer Sunday ahead with plenty of sunshine across the Canaries
The State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, is forecasting mostly clear skies and rising temperatures across the Canary Islands this Sunday. While much of the archipelago will enjoy sunshine, there will be some cloud at times in northern and eastern areas early in the morning and again towards the evening. In the western islands, some cloud build-up is expected inland during the warmest part of the day.
Temperatures are set to rise slightly to moderately in mid-altitude areas and higher ground, particularly in the western province, while coastal areas will see little overall change. Northeasterly winds will continue, moderate in the eastern islands and lighter in the west.
At sea, winds will reach force 3 to 4 from the northeast in the western islands and 4 to 5 from the north or northeast in the eastern islands. Slight to moderate seas are expected, with a northwesterly swell of one to two metres, gradually easing.

Tenerife
Mostly sunny overall, with some morning cloud and inland cloud development during the middle of the day, especially in the west and interior. Temperatures will rise slightly to moderately in mid-altitude areas and on higher ground, while coastal areas remain stable.
Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, stronger at times on the southeast coast and in the far northwest. In central high areas, winds will shift westerly and remain light to moderate.
General temperature range: 18°C (min) to 24°C (max).
Gran Canaria
Predominantly clear skies, though northern and eastern parts of the island may see cloud at the beginning and end of the day. Minimum temperatures will stay the same along the coast but rise slightly inland and at higher elevations — particularly on northern slopes. Daytime highs will remain largely unchanged.
Moderate northeasterly winds are expected, stronger on southeast and northwest slopes, with lighter sea breezes in the southwest.
General temperature range: 18°C (min) to 23°C (max).
Lanzarote
Largely clear skies throughout the day, although northern areas may see cloud early in the morning and again later in the evening. Temperatures will remain steady. Moderate northeasterly winds will be noticeable, particularly in exposed coastal areas.

Fuerteventura
Mainly sunny conditions, with some early and late cloud in the north and east. Overnight temperatures may rise slightly inland, while daytime highs remain stable. Moderate northeasterly winds will bring a fresh feel along open beaches.

In summary, Sunday looks ideal for outdoor plans, with warm spring sunshine across much of the islands, just watch for occasional cloud in northern areas and breezier conditions in the east.
