The yellow weather alert for haze continues on Monday

The yellow weather warning that is in force for haze in the Canary Islands due to the calima from Africa, has been extended and will continue tomorrow (Monday).
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have confirmed that there will still be haze in Tenerife and the islands of the province of Las Palmas, i.e. Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
It is in an extension of the current alert for sand and dust in the air, which has brought higher temperatures to the islands and reduced visibility to 3,000 metres, which is lower locally particularly at altitude.
The yellow alert, which was due to finish tonight, has now been extended until 11.59pm tomorrow night (Monday).
