The Lanzarote Cabildo has authorised extra bus services to Caleta de Famara during the celebrations of Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón de María. The request was made by Teguise Town Hall to ensure safe and reliable travel for residents and visitors between 29th and 31st August.
The measure strengthens the bus service on Line 28 (Arrecife–Teguise–Famara) for both outward and return journeys.
Transport Councillor Miguel Ángel Jiménez said the initiative is designed to guarantee “safe and efficient mobility for locals and visitors during one of the most important weekends of the year for the municipality.” He highlighted the collaboration between the Cabildo, Teguise Town Hall, and Arrecife Bus S.L. in providing “a quality service that allows everyone to enjoy the festivities without worries.”
Teguise Mayor Olivia Duque added that in addition to the increased bus services, the taxi service will also be reinforced, giving people more options for travelling to and from Famara. The Local Police will also be working closely with the authorities to help maintain order during the festivities.
