More weather warnings and alerts activated in all of the Canary Islands

The regional government, based on the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), has declared alerts across the Canary Islands for “adverse coastal phenomena” starting from 10:00pm tomorrow, Thursday 28th March.

The combination of deep swell with waves reaching up to six metres high will be particularly noticeable in the north and west of La Palma, El Hierro, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote, as well as the north of Tenerife, La Gomera, and Gran Canaria, as announced by the Canary Islands government.

The public are advised to avoid bathing or swimming in areas with no lifeguards and to take notice of flags displayed on beaches as in some areas they will be red.

The weather forecast for tomorrow (Thursday) indicates generally cloudy intervals, with a low probability of scattered showers during the morning, and clearing in the afternoon.
