Saturday Weather: Clear and sunny with some cloud over the more mountainous islands

According to the latest forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), Saturday will bring a mix of weather conditions across the Canary Islands.

Cloudy intervals over the north of the mountainous islands and Lanzarote will give way to sunnier spells as the day progresses. Elsewhere, skies will generally remain clear.

If you plan to be out and about, especially in mid-altitude or exposed areas, be prepared for cooler temperatures and potentially gusty winds. Coastal areas, particularly on the south-west, should enjoy calmer conditions ideal for enjoying the beach or outdoor dining.

Mariners are advised to take note of rougher sea conditions, especially offshore and in the west and southeast of the archipelago.
