A man was hospitalised on Saturday evening after crashing his electric scooter into a car on Calle El Antonio in Arrecife, Lanzarote.
The incident took place around 7:30p.m. on a narrow road that houses the local School of Languages and intersects with the busy Calle José Pereyra Galviaty, which stretches across the city from Titerroy to Maneje.
CECOES received an alert about the accident and dispatched the relevant emergency services to the location given. Paramedics assessed him at the scene and confirmed that the scooter rider had sustained a moderate head injury.
Once stabled they transported the injured man to José Molina Orosa General Hospital by ambulance for further treatment, where he was admitted in a stable but serious condition. The extent of the trauma was described as non-life-threatening, barring complications.
The Local Police were also at the scene of the accident to make an official report and determine the cause of the accident. No-one in the car was injured.
