A man was taken to hospital with moderate injuries after his car overturned while driving along the LZ-402 near Teguise around midday today (Friday).
Emergency services were alerted at approximately 12:30pm, when a call to the Canary Islands Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) reported that a vehicle had flipped over on the road.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to secure the car and assist other response teams. SUC medical personnel treated the driver at the scene before transferring him in a medicalised ambulance to Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa in Arrecife for further treatment.
He was reported to have sustained multiple contusions, described as moderate, and was in stable condition at the time of transport.
Officers from the Guardia Civil attended the scene to control traffic and carry out the necessary investigation. No further details have been released about the cause of the accident at this time.
