A 60-year-old man who fell from approximately five metres at an abandoned hotel in Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) on Friday, passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday) from his injuries.
The emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 3:30pm on Friday afternoon, and dispatched the Local Police and two ambulances to the location given in Pechiguera.
Due to the severity of the man's injuries, paramedics requested a medical helicopter to transport him to the Hospital Molina Orosa in Arrecife for urgent treatment.
He was admitted in critical condition with several serious injuries and doctors started to treat him straight away. Unfortunately, he passed away at around 4:00am from the severity of the injuries he suffered in the fall.
