Tourists and residents can look forward to a mainly bright and sunny Monday across the Canary Islands, with temperatures edging upwards and only occasional cloud in parts of the archipelago.

According to latest forecasts from AEMET, skies will be largely clear, although some cloud is expected in lower northern and eastern areas during the early morning and late evening. In Tenerife and the western islands, cloud may develop inland during the afternoon.

Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly in many areas, especially inland and at higher altitudes. Coastal areas will generally see little change in minimum temperatures, while daytime highs could creep up a notch, particularly in the south and interior zones.

Winds and Sea Conditions

Moderate north-easterly winds will affect the eastern province, while winds will tend to turn more easterly in the western islands and mid-altitude areas. In the mountain summits, winds will be lighter and variable, although stronger gusts are possible later in the day in southern Tenerife and higher ground.

At sea, northerly to north-easterly winds of force 3 to 4 are expected, with slightly lighter and variable winds around La Palma and El Hierro. Conditions will range from slight to moderate, with a northerly or north-westerly swell of around one metre.
