Historic agreement between TUI and Ryanair unleashes a wave of travel possibilities

In a groundbreaking deal, the TUI Group has sealed a historic agreement with Ryanair, setting the stage for a collaboration that will revolutionise the travel industry. The German tourism giant will now market and integrate Ryanair flights into its extensive range of dynamic package offerings.

In just a few weeks, customers will have the unprecedented ability to book any route from the Irish airline through the German travel group's channels, combining them seamlessly with their travel packages.

This monumental agreement propels TUI into new airspace, supplementing its already extensive array of connections. The collaboration adds the global low-cost airline's extensive flight schedule to theirs, operated by its five existing airlines (with a sixth on the horizon), as well as those offered through associated carriers, as highlighted in an official statement.

With this strategic partnership, TUI will significantly enhance the variety and frequency of its flight offerings, particularly in the UK, a market where Ryanair has a substantial presence. The group emphasises that travellers will enjoy an increased array of destinations and greater flexibility, unlocking millions of new combination options.

Also, this collaboration allows the German tourism giant to expand its schedule of urban getaways and short trips by integrating these additional flights into their packages, whether booked through travel agencies or online.

TUI says that this new partnership with Ryanair will particularly benefit the First Choice tour operator, a brand that was relaunched in the UK last September. The additional volume and flight flexibility are expected to make it more appealing to the younger generation of travellers.

Peter Krüger, Director of Strategy and Holiday Experiences at TUI Group, said, "The new agreement follows the Group's strategy of further digitising business segments. Last year, the number of dynamic package holidays at TUI exceeded 2.5 million. Now, the cooperation with Ryanair will further expand the range of dynamically packaged holidays, achieving a new milestone in digitisation. Furthermore, the collaboration also contributes to our growth strategy - with more products and new guests."

Dara Brady, Ryanair's Director of Marketing and Digital, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "We are pleased to announce this partnership with TUI, allowing TUI customers to now book Ryanair flights, seats, and luggage as part of their holiday package. Customers can expect total price transparency and receive all flight-related information directly from the company, with direct access to their reservation through their 'myRyanair' account."
