Mostly sunny Sunday across the Canary Islands with some cloud in the north
The Canary Islands can expect mostly clear or lightly cloudy skies today, Sunday, with only northern areas seeing more cloud and the possibility of occasional light showers, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Temperatures will remain largely unchanged across the archipelago, with maximums reaching around 22°C. Moderate north-easterly winds are expected throughout the day, with some stronger gusts possible at times, particularly during the first half of the day.
At sea, conditions will be rougher, with north-easterly winds of force 5 to 6, occasionally reaching force 7. Seas are expected to range from rough to very rough, with a north swell of 1 to 2 metres, locally increasing to 2 to 3 metres in some areas.

Lanzarote
Cloudy at the start and end of the day, becoming partly cloudy during the daytime, with thicker cloud in northern areas. Temperatures will see little change. Moderate north-easterly winds, with stronger intervals inland during the morning.

Fuerteventura
Cloudy early and late in the day, becoming mostly clear for the rest of the day. Temperatures remain steady. Moderate north-easterly winds with stronger gusts inland and in the Jandía area during the first half of the day.

Gran Canaria
Cloudy in the north with a chance of light rain, with some clearer spells around midday. The rest of the island will be mostly clear. Temperatures may dip slightly in the south-west interior. North-easterly winds will strengthen at times on the south-east and north-west coasts, particularly earlier in the day, with the possibility of very strong gusts. Light variable winds in the mountain areas.
General temperature range: Low of 17°C and high of 21°C.
Tenerife
Northern areas will remain cloudy with a chance of light rain and some clearer spells around midday, although the north-east may stay overcast. The rest of the island will be mostly clear. Temperatures may fall slightly inland, and weak frost is possible on the highest peaks. North-easterly winds will be stronger at times on the south-east coast and far west of the island, especially during the morning.
General temperature range: Low of 15°C and high of 22°C.
