€400,000 immersive Christmas attraction planned for Maspalomas

A new immersive Christmas attraction costing just over €400,000 is planned for Maspalomas in Gran Canaria this festive season. The attraction will provide a free immersive audiovisual experience for residents and visitors.

San Bartolomé de Tirajana Council has launched a tender for the installation and operation of a large temporary themed dome at Parque del Sur for its 2026–2027 Christmas campaign.

Immersive Christmas Dome

The contract covers the rental, transportation, assembly, installation, operation, maintenance and eventual dismantling of the temporary structure.

The dome will include full-dome audiovisual projection, sound and lighting systems, together with specially produced or adapted audiovisual content.

External theming, access areas, electrical systems and technical staff are also included in the project.

Staff will be responsible for assisting visitors, controlling capacity and overseeing the operation of the attraction.

The completed installation is required to be ready by 1st December.

Open Through Christmas and New Year

The immersive dome is scheduled to operate from 6th December 2026 until 6th January 2027.

Once the Christmas programme has finished, the structure must be dismantled and the site restored by mid-January.

Parque del Sur has become an increasingly important focus of San Bartolomé de Tirajana's Christmas programme, with previous festive editions attracting both residents and visitors to the south of Gran Canaria.

The location also places the new attraction within easy reach of the island's major southern tourism areas.
