A helicopter from the Canarian Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) is leading the search operation for a hiker who is thought to have fallen from a cliff in the Rambla de Castro area of Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The search was started after a local resident called the 112 emergency services claiming to have heard someone falling from the cliff, according to the newspaper El Día.
The emergency service confirmed that they received an alert about a potential fall involving a hiker. However, as of now, no one been found, and there is no confirmation of the incident.
The search has continued this morning, but the authorities have not yet verified the details of the reported fall.
