CANARY ISLANDS WEATHER: Mostly sunny Tuesday with a chance of light showers
The Canary Islands are set for another largely bright and sunny Tuesday, although some areas could see occasional light showers, according to forecasts from the state weather agency, AEMET. Temperatures will change very little, maintaining mild and comfortable spring conditions.
Skies will generally remain mostly clear across the archipelago, with intervals of high cloud drifting across at times. Some lower clouds may develop overnight and during the early morning in the northern and eastern areas of several islands. In parts of Tenerife, weak and occasional rain cannot be ruled out later in the day.
Overall, Tuesday looks set to deliver another classic Canary Islands spring day — mostly sunny, comfortably warm, and breezy.
Wind and Sea Conditions
Moderate north-easterly trade winds will dominate, with locally strong gusts possible along exposed north-western and south-eastern coasts during the afternoon. Inland and higher areas will experience lighter, more variable winds, although Tenerife’s central summits could see moderate south-westerly winds strengthening later in the day.
At sea, north-easterly to easterly winds will prevail, with slight to moderate conditions and a northerly to north-westerly swell of around one metre.

Lanzarote
Lanzarote will enjoy a predominantly bright day, with long spells of sunshine across most of the island. Some high cloud will pass overhead at times, and during the early hours there may be patches of low cloud affecting the north and eastern coastal areas, including around Costa Teguise and Arrecife.
Temperatures will remain stable, feeling warm in sheltered inland spots during the afternoon. Moderate north-easterly winds will persist throughout the day, making it feel fresher along exposed coasts.
General temperature range: Low of 16°C and a high of 24°C.
Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura can expect similar conditions, with mainly clear skies and occasional high cloud. Early morning low cloud may affect eastern coastal areas, including around Puerto del Rosario and Caleta de Fuste, before clearing quickly after sunrise.
Temperatures will see little variation, with a warm but comfortable feel thanks to the steady trade winds. Moderate north-easterly winds will continue throughout the day, particularly noticeable along open beaches.

Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria will see mostly sunny conditions, although some high cloud will drift across during the day. Overnight and early morning hours may bring low cloud below 600–700 metres in northern and eastern parts of the island, potentially affecting areas such as Telde and the outskirts of Las Palmas.
Temperatures will remain steady, with coastal areas comfortable and southern resorts feeling slightly warmer during the afternoon. Moderate north-easterly winds will strengthen at times along north-west and south-east coasts later in the day. Inland and higher ground will see lighter and more variable breezes.
General temperature range: Low of 19°C and a high of 23°C.
Tenerife
Tenerife will also experience largely sunny skies, with intervals of high cloud. During the early part of the day, low cloud may sit below 600–700 metres along the eastern slopes.
As the afternoon progresses, some cloud build-up is expected inland, particularly in the south and east of the island. There is a small possibility of weak, occasional light showers in these areas later in the day. After sunset, low cloud may once again affect northern coastal areas.
Temperatures will remain steady across the island, with the north and mid-altitudes feeling pleasantly mild. Moderate north-easterly winds will affect coastal areas, with stronger gusts possible in the south-east during the afternoon. In the central summits, south-westerly winds may strengthen later on.
