A 66-year-old British man was found dead yesterday afternoon (Saturday) in his apartment on Calle César Manrique in the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. The alert was given by his friends who were concerned because he did not respond to their calls or when they knocked on his front door.
The Emergency Services received an alert at around noon yesterday, requesting help as their friend wasn’t responding to them, so they dispatched officers from the Guardia Civil and the Tías Local Police to the man’s address.
When they got there they had to break into the property as the man wasn’t responding, and there they found his lifeless body, which has now been removed to be taken for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
