The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow and orange weather warning for Sunday due to the storm forming to the northwest of the islands that is due to pass between the Canary Islands and Madeira.
According to their forecasts, the weather will be worst on the islands of Tenerife and La Palma (orange warning for high risk), where the wind will blow intensely with very strong gusts up to 90km/h, and the rain will be the heaviest, with the possibility of electrical storms
In Gran Canaria, La Gomera, and El Hierro, a yellow warning (risk) has also been activated by AEMET for wind and rain.
